Well, maybe.  My little sis is coming down from Wisconsin with her baby daughter to visit this week.  We are working on how to get her back up there again.  She's coming down with her mother in law but for some reason can't go back with her.  I have no idea.  So my dad and I thinking of escorting her back up, perhaps by train (we don't want to let her go up there with a baby by herself), either in this world or in space.

Still not sure how this is going to work out.  I like the amtrak idea since it's cheaper and more comfortable.  We are thinking of getting a ticket on one of those berth sleeping car thingies.  I haven't ridden on a train since I was like, 5.  Well if you don't count subways or that little train at the zoo.
I've given it serious thought. I must scorn the ways of my family, and seek a Japanese woman to yield me my progeny. He shall live in the lands of the east, and be well tutored in his sacred trust to weave the best traditions of Japan and the Sacred South together, until such time as he (or, indeed his house, which will periodically require infusion of both Southern and Japanese bloodlines of note) can deliver to the South it's independence, either in this world or in space.  -Lettow April of 2011

Will you mate with apple cheeked Wisconsin Norse girls and liberate the south from space?

I dunno, I don't think I will have time.  I am willing to liberate the South.  South Vietnam.

I took Amtrak from Philadelphia to Atlanta once.  It was actually really nice.

Was this when you were working at the carwash, where all it ever does is rain? :hmm:

I worked at a carwash once, worst job evah.

If the place closed because of bad weather you were automatically on the schedule for the next day, whether you were scheduled in advance or not.  Of course here in Portland in the spring it rains every damn day so you just had to assume you had to go to work everyday until they decided to close.  All that for minimum wage.

They called us all in for a meeting at around 5 PM on April 1.  We were told the carwash had been sold and we were out of jobs; I was thrilled but everyone else was upset.  They then said 'April Fools' and gave everybody $5 cash "for our time".  I told the owner to go fuck himself and never went back.
