I am, somehow, less interested in the weight and convolutions of Einstein's brain than in the near certainty that people of equal talent have lived and died in cotton fields and sweatshops.

Which one? 1998 or 2019?

Have to say Sunderland fans were very gracious in defeat both times and Charlton fans have a real soft spot for them as a result.

1998.
I was only a kid so... It was painful.
I'd forgotten all about 2019. League 1 is cursed.

I realized it was too much work to follow all of Arsenal, Palace, all the teams in League One, and now West Ham (because my three year old loves the fact they blow bubbles and she loves that their GK wore pink) so I've decided to cut back on Palace and the entirety of League One and just follow Charlton.

Of course they then promptly lost their first game since February

Welcome to my world! Last game of our worst season in a century. There's always next season...

Thank fuck that season is over.
Amazing collapse by Sunderland with seriously wonky board decisions.
Lots of rumours that Will Still might be appointed as manager sometime soon. He's been sacked by Reims and there's claims he has been spotted house hunting.
This guy seems really interesting. 31, worked his way up through the coaching ranks, educated in Football Manager....
I have a bad feeling. His implosion in France happened.
But still. Fingers crossed we can have a proper season next year.

Sad to see Leicester go up but happy at least one relegated team won't be making it back. Hopefully its Southampton who stay down.
