I was stunned by how shockingly awful the original was after seeing a few episodes a couple of years ago. That's one of those shows that nostalgia just couldn't help. This looks 1000 times better.

It is far better for the truth to tear my flesh to pieces, then for my soul to wander through darkness in eternal damnation.

Jet: So what kind of woman is she? What's Julia like?
Faye: Ordinary. The kind of beautiful, dangerous ordinary that you just can't leave alone.
Jet: I see.
Faye: Like an angel from the underworld. Or a devil from Paradise.

Thundercats sucked then and it will suck now, I know that without even seeing whatever this new abomination is.

Agreed on both both Tim.  Now the question I want answered:  Where's Panthro?

"Somebody, after all, had to make a start. What we wrote and said is also believed by many others. They just don't dare express themselves as we did."

I never did like Thundercats too much, my friend loved it I recall though. Which was odd.

too anime
The original Thundercats was animated in Japan.

I thought 99% of those classic "American" 80's cartoon shows were animated in Japan.

Heck, the Simpsons is animated in Korea, I believe.

They are and because of this they are insanely popular here.

It's a show for seven year olds, what did you expect?
I've given it serious thought. I must scorn the ways of my family, and seek a Japanese woman to yield me my progeny. He shall live in the lands of the east, and be well tutored in his sacred trust to weave the best traditions of Japan and the Sacred South together, until such time as he (or, indeed his house, which will periodically require infusion of both Southern and Japanese bloodlines of note) can deliver to the South it's independence, either in this world or in space.  -Lettow April of 2011
