Medieval Total War 2: Stainless Steel 6.1

Hi!

Didnt want to hijack the ETW thread so thought ill ask my questions in a new fresh one  First time I actually bought a game purely for the mod but it looked so great

I only have two problems so far:

1. For some reason my units dont capture buildings anymore. Or when the announcement said they did, they in fact still didnt. More something for their bug forum or part of the design?

2. Im playing Medium and definitely no MTW god but victories still come too easy. Does it gets harder after X turns or should I just restart with difficulty on hard?

More questions later but especially the first one bugged me too much (million to one shot the arrow tower killed my king )

I've encountered the easiness problem, but the first one strikes me as odd.
