Why would anyone want to drive a car off a road?
Avoid Traffic? Lack of said roads?
There are roads everywhere.  If a place doesn't have a road, it's not worth going to.
Not all roads are paved tho.

Are Dirt roads off roads?
It's still a road.  And you don't need special vehicles to drive on dirt or gravel roads.
I do not hate you, nor do I love you, but you are made out of atoms which I can use for something else.

You haven't seen Yukon gravel roads then. :o

And I strenuously disagree that places without roads aren't worth going.  In fact it is the places without roads that are most worth going to.

Some of these gay threads are almost incomprehensible  :(

You're a brit.  You wouldn't understand having an unpaved road, nevermind going offroad.  :console:

Never say to a Brit "I'm going for a drive up to the cottage - you wanna take the backseat, or ride shotgun?"

They will misunderstand.  :(

I may have to trade in my current FJ for a 2014....if I were to get a new car, I cannot honestly think of any other car that I'd consider (without going insane/broke and getting a Land Rover).

That's why the "insane" part.

I best second choice is a Toyota pickup...but the Tacoma feels too small for me (mostly on the inside), and the Tundra is way too big.  FJ fits me like a glove.

MadImmortalMan

Bummer. Makes me want to buy another one just to store until my current one gets retired. I hope they don't come out with the next thing and sacrifice the off-road capability in favor of trying to be more like Hummers and more appealing to blingster rappers and soccer moms.

They already have the LX and the Land Cruiser for that, though.

I bet what you see is a "rugged" version of the 4Runner as a replacement.

Apparently you all are in the minority given that the cited reason was dwindling sales.

Well they have all already bought one, so of course they aren't going out and buying another :p

I liked it when did test drive, but really not enough cargo space for my needs.
