Incidentally it was 130 F in the sun outside my office window yesterday.
Ah...I don't think so.

The point is to measure air temperature. Not the rate at which some arbitrary material absorbs radiant energy.

Bleh.  More 100 degree weather. :(
I've given it serious thought. I must scorn the ways of my family, and seek a Japanese woman to yield me my progeny. He shall live in the lands of the east, and be well tutored in his sacred trust to weave the best traditions of Japan and the Sacred South together, until such time as he (or, indeed his house, which will periodically require infusion of both Southern and Japanese bloodlines of note) can deliver to the South it's independence, either in this world or in space.  -Lettow April of 2011

Austin had to cancel the fourth of July fireworks this year.  The threat of fires was too high.

It's the same old shit as every year. A few hot days in spring, a summer that changes rapidly between warm and wet, then a late summer heatwave in September.

OMG WTF global warming etc. etc.

Aren't you confusing weather with climate ?  :hmm:

Besides which country were you in this spring ? Because we've had an extraordinarily warm and dry spring, not just a "few hot days"

I was looking into homes in Plano, but Texas and its water situation makes me think twice about moving down there.
