I open my front door and it feels like I'm opening the door to an oven. I can see the grass on my lawn turning yellow even though I watered it this AM.

We had a freakishly strong thunder storm last Sunday. Heavy rain and hail, over 5 inches of rain in an hour. Winds so strong that I feared a tornado would hit. It knocked down trees and branches, a couple big branches in my neighbor's yard.

One of the hospitals in my company, which is also in my town, had the basement floor flooded out which includes the cafeteria and emergency power generators. They had to transfer all the patients out with the help of local and neighboring town fire departments. Damage is so bad that the hospital looks like it'll be closed for some months.

It is fucking hot right now. This time of year has you visiting weather.com hoping to see some rain or anything and it slowly dawns on you it is going to be fucking hot until October. Oh well. At least it is no 2011.

Edit: and it is not like I go very many places these days anyway 

But you cannot even go to the pool to cool off with this pandemic
