This has probably been posted before but still a fun map. USA and Canada on the same latitude as Europe.

Reminds me of a conversation I had with a fellow in London. He heard I was from Canada and asked about what living in the far north was like. I pointed out that I lived in Toronto, which is in fact far to the south of London ... he was very surprised by this.

In Ontario, London is about at the same latitude as the far tip of Hudson's Bay - basically, uninhabitable wilderness.

So London has much in common with the place.  :bowler:

It's been so hot lately...blah  :yucky:
It is far better for the truth to tear my flesh to pieces, then for my soul to wander through darkness in eternal damnation.

Jet: So what kind of woman is she? What's Julia like?
Faye: Ordinary. The kind of beautiful, dangerous ordinary that you just can't leave alone.
Jet: I see.
Faye: Like an angel from the underworld. Or a devil from Paradise.

34 today. I've been walking longer routes so long as I can walk in the shade the whole way.

Just checked - in June/July, Vienna had 26 days over 30°C.

We've had the lowest numbers of days with above 25°C in Copenhagen in July in 30 something years: 0.

Copenhagen does seem rather lovely when warm.

Survived our first tropical system of the season (Emily.)  This one caught us by surprise, no one had predicted it.  It was just a tropical depression ( :() by the time it got to our side of the state.  Our May was so dry that we're still down about 3" of rain for the year.  Our backyard still hasn't flooded yet; it almost always does after tropical systems (and drains out by the next day.)

In Switzerland, they had brotherly love, they had five hundred years of democracy and peace—and what did that produce? The cuckoo clock
