I'd like to see his porn collection.

Does it feature custom engravings of Wilhelm II getting fucked by every other European monarch?

QuoteOtto von Franken was born on an unknown date to Konrad der Ältere (?-906) and Glismut (c866-924) and died circa 917 of unspecified causes. Little is known about Otto.

Not all of them had so many names though, most had 2-4 names, some few had just one, e.g. Frederick II of Prussia. Having ten names is pretty pretentious.

Well, when one is supposed to become the Emperor of the fucking Habsburg Empire, I guess one has the right to a certain pretentiousness...

(technically, he WOULD have ranked higher that Friedrich II, who was just King. And House Hohenzollern is not as big as House Habsburg).

They're Habsburgs, don't count on it.

http://austrianindependent.com/news/Politics/2011-06-17/8004/Waving_Habsburg_appeal_angers_conservatives

Ulrich Habsburg-Lothringen, a former councillor of the Austrian Greens, wanted to become federal president last year. Habsburg-Lothringen planned to call on the Constitutional Court to overrule the law and give the green light to his candidacy.

Thank goodness that

(...) he failed to collect as many signatures as needed to get his campaign underway. Every person interested in becoming president of Austria must garner at least 6,000 statements of support to officially run in ballots. Habsburg-Lothringen was unable to meet this criterion.

Also, the Social-Democrats can be just as retarded:

A Social Democratic (SPÖ) member of the Austrian parliament (MP) has waded into controversy by suggesting asking the Habsburgs to wave from the balcony of a tourism hotspot.

SPÖ whip Josef Cap said in parliament members of the Habsburg family – who ruled vast parts of Central Europe for decades – could "wave from the balcony of Schönbrunn Palace a bit."

I only have one name.
Does that means I am inferior?

No family name?

Today, one should at least have two (yours and your family's). Only one usually indicates an outcast, either orphan from unknowns or an outcast from a family.

Exception was old royalty (or modern one in Asia), as Kings only had one name because it was assumed that if someone referred to a person of their name, it would be them - it was up to the others to distinguish themselves. The Japanese Emperor is just 'Akihito', for example.

Valmy

My understanding of that incident was that the Republic of Austria's constitution specifically bans any Habsburgs from running for President and that Ulrich wanted that waived.  He would have needed the other requirements I thought.

It does seem a bit unrepublican to ban specific individuals from running for President but in the context of 1919 Austria that makes sense.  If only the French Second Republic had done the same thing for Bonapartes.  Seems a bit outdated now though.
