You know, I always thought Macho Man Randy Savage had an awesomely inappropriate name.
It was only later that I learned Randy is a valid name in the US and it doesn't mean the same as it does in the UK.

It is far better for the truth to tear my flesh to pieces, then for my soul to wander through darkness in eternal damnation.

Jet: So what kind of woman is she? What's Julia like?
Faye: Ordinary. The kind of beautiful, dangerous ordinary that you just can't leave alone.
Jet: I see.
Faye: Like an angel from the underworld. Or a devil from Paradise.

A terrorist which starts a slaughter quoting Locke, Burke and Mill has completely missed the point.
The fact remains that the only person or group to applaud the Norway massacre are random Islamists.

uh, yeah... common name here.  Usually short for Randall, and I've known a Randolph or two also.

I wouldn't call it common, but I would say it's not unusual.

What Does Randy mean in the UK?

Horny I think.

Yes it does.

But my favourite English/American mis understanding is "Fanny" which means something completely different there.
