I hope your children rebel and speak spanish and adopt catholicism.

My "ENGLISH ONLY" signs and Martin Luther icons posted throughout the house will prevent your hope from becoming reality  :showoff:

So they'll become monolingual anti-Semites?
I've given it serious thought. I must scorn the ways of my family, and seek a Japanese woman to yield me my progeny. He shall live in the lands of the east, and be well tutored in his sacred trust to weave the best traditions of Japan and the Sacred South together, until such time as he (or, indeed his house, which will periodically require infusion of both Southern and Japanese bloodlines of note) can deliver to the South it's independence, either in this world or in space.  -Lettow April of 2011

Yeah, maybe.  Anything but Catholix.

It's okay.  We won't harm religious minorities in the future.  I mean, we aren't Protestants.

I've already forwarded your personnel jacket to the home office in Rome.  You'll be receiving your excommunication within 7-10 business days.

I've already spoken with them & cleared up the misunderstanding that I was somehow a member.  They did say they'd like to speak with you about some things you have posted on the forum... :)

At first I thought you were talking about Protestant & Catholic

But there is already some interoperability.  On my wife's freshly-rerooted Nook Color she can access Nook, Kindle, and pretty much any other ebook store other than Apple's.

Ditto for any Android device that can access the Android Market.

But that is relying on the ability to reroot the devices, which is a hole that is susceptible to being closed.

An actual android tablet would still have that interoperability. However it forces you to use separate apps to view the different formats- a minor thing but annoying. I wonder what the legality would be of a third-party app that could read all formats.

It would be easy to have an app that was just a front end that logged into your different accounts and aggregated the titles into one quasi-library.  Selecting a title would then open the app for whatever ebookstore (either inside the front end app or separately) and pull up the book you selected.

But as far as deep integration is concerned-- yeah, there's a lot more involved with that.

I use the Kindle pretty much exclusively, but I can't see it being that big of a deal to have to switch between 2 or 3 apps to find the book I want to read.

It's not.  I have the kindle and the mobipocket app on my blackberry.  Pretty easy to go back and forth.

Why would they want to do that?  Competition is bad.
I do not hate you, nor do I love you, but you are made out of atoms which I can use for something else.
