I thought this was a really cool mash-up of Google Maps and Wikipedia's list of historical battles/wars:

Yesterday, upon the stair,
I met a man who wasn't there
He wasn't there again today
I wish, I wish he'd go away...

Some odd definitions of "Conflict". there.
I've given it serious thought. I must scorn the ways of my family, and seek a Japanese woman to yield me my progeny. He shall live in the lands of the east, and be well tutored in his sacred trust to weave the best traditions of Japan and the Sacred South together, until such time as he (or, indeed his house, which will periodically require infusion of both Southern and Japanese bloodlines of note) can deliver to the South it's independence, either in this world or in space.  -Lettow April of 2011

You don't think friendly fire incidents are examples of conflict?

Not really.  Also I don't count the air Force losing track of some of it's nuclear weapons for a day and a half a "conflict".  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2007_United_States_Air_Force_nuclear_weapons_incident

Curiously The Australian government shooting Emus is a conflict while the Chaco War is not listed.

Swear to God on this one.  One of the conflicts listed is "The War that came Early", which is a novel by Harry Turtledove.  http://www.conflicthistory.com/#/period/1899-1988/conflict/+en+the_war_that_came_early

You bet!

I'll check it out tomorrow after the blood level in my alcohol system is back to normal.

To be cunning and vicious is a fairly obvious shortcut to total victory.

This thing is clearly a data mining project. It searches wiki for things that look like conflicts and then maps them and provides links. Interesting for me because this is the kind of thing I study.

I wonder if it updates automatically :hmm: My guess is probably not. It's probably using an xml dump of wiki rather than the website.

Fixed. :P

I'm surprised it doesn't include Ed's war against the Rabbits.
