The Larch

There's another one for Al Pacino.

That graphic can be a bit misleading, even though it nails his career's overall decadence. He's had supporting roles in a bunch of films (American Hustle, Joy, Silver Linings Playbook, Stardust, etc...) that are firmly in fresh territory.

But yeah, he's been cashing in for the most part of the past two decades.

I think each data point is an average of the ratings for that year.  So a few good movies are getting overwhelmed by the bad.

Yes, it's an average for each year.

Another one, projected trends for famous actors.

You're right, the fact the graphic has movie names in it mislead me.

Something tells me Clarkson's new show will trump Top Gear

Sopranos all wrapped up, back onto Band of Brothers.  Eindhoven episode.

Question for the western Euros: after liberation, when chicks who banged Krauts were pissed on, is that generally considered a really cool thing, or not such a cool thing?

Not a cool thing. My granddad who was in the resistance once said that those girls were abused by posers who just slapped on a resistance band after the war.

This. Exact same story.

How could it not, when you're filming it in Vicenza

Duque de Bragança

The Man who would be King at the Cinémathèque.  :bowler:  :frog:

"They don't make 'em like that anymore." Right, to the point it was already true in 1975, the release year.
Masonic conspiracy inside for the the more :tinfoil: of you.

Duque de Bragança

Casino Royale (1967)

More entertaining than any Daniel Craig Bond. Also, Orson Welles > Mads Mikkelsen.  :P
Very good '60s psychedelic entertainment. :) Very uneven though given the film structure. Lots of movie references inside, à la pré-Tarantino.

Anyone watch Fringe?

Any good?
"If you think this has a happy ending, then you haven't been paying attention."

10 Cloverfield Lane. A pleasant surprise. Very tense and scary, while showing very little. It's funny because the movie is essentially
the Tim Robbins bit of The War of the Worlds
but good.

Saw the new Tarzan movie. It was quite terrible. It did get me thinking, though - there's basically a 100% chance that Tarzan fucked a gorilla growing up, isn't there?
My aim, then, was to whip the rebels, to humble their pride, to follow them to their inmost recesses, and make them fear and dread us. Fear is the beginning of wisdom.

Admiral Yi

Sure.

Caught the tale end of Roadies.  It was pretty good.
