QuoteSONS OF LIBERTY is a dramatic interpretation of events that sparked a revolution. It is historical fiction, not a documentary. The goal of our miniseries is to capture the spirit of the time, convey the personalities of the main characters, and focus on real events that have shaped our past.

Which would be fine except that it doesn't capture the spirit of the time or convey the actual personalities of the main characters.  Compare say to Deadwood which as discussed earlier had similar language use issues but did far better at capturing the spirit.
The purpose of studying economics is not to acquire a set of ready-made answers to economic questions, but to learn how to avoid being deceived by economists.

The founding fathers had the personalities appropriate to action superheroes battling supervillians. They are just interpreting this for modern audiences.

Everyone knows that was with Abraham Lincoln, not the Founding Fathers!

Well, sooorreee for being a foreigner.  I feel any serialisation on TV does need at least one vampire and some zombies.

That's the joke  ;)

Martinus

Liked the last night's Flash. Though I wonder if Seedy feels the portrayal of gay people as supersonic super villains lends itself to a culture of of permissiveness that helps spread oral (or, aural, as the case may be) STDs.

Right, except it also fails by taking itself too seriously and not going full tongue and cheek vampire hunter.

Keep in mind that for ideologue the highest purpose of an actor in a movie is to serve as a frame for the costume designer, and then as components of the scenery.
