It can't be helped...We'll have to use 'that'

Another Family Guy Star Wars episode is on. If I were polite I'd call them a missed opportunity. Just retelling the movies with Family Guy characters? Booooring.

They're OK....to watch once.

Bet you did like the Rocky IV montage while jedi training on Dagobah, though.

Overall, I liked the high quality of the animation, although the jokes sometimes would fall really flat. The "Meg is a horrendously ugly for no reason" shtick that makes them use her as the Worm inside the Asteroid really gets old.

No Walking Dead posts this week? Didn't think it was all that bad. Season Finale next week.

Fixed.

Last few episodes weren't that bad, but not as good as the first few.  Kinda coasting right now with "people drama",  "oh my god I killed some zombies, now I am suddenly a bad-ass chick that gets turned on by headshots", "I shaved my head to show how much a stone cold killer I am", and "creepy old man has walkers in the barn" stuff.

Bad Lieutenant.  Very enjoyable.  Even Nicholas Cage was bearable.

I'm really enjoying Herzog's mid-life resurgence of the past few years.
Let's bomb Russia!

Saw the first half of The American.  Twere OK.

already? Nothing happened yet.

Wow, I've been watching Walking Dead and was thinking how much better this season is than the last.

I do find the zombies kind of dissapointing - they really aren't much of a threat at all. I am kind of wondering how the military failed against them. A competent team of men with assault rifles and adequate ammo should be able to take out a pretty unlimited number of them.

But the show isn't really about the zombies, it is about this group.

The first season had a sense of urgency. The zombies were never that scary, but they were there. a constant threat. Now you have what, besides in the first episode where they show up,  a zombie in the well and one in a pharmacy. The only time they were a real danger was for two characters who went out of their way to go to a dangerous spot.

Thing that bugs me about Walking Dead has more to do with the zombie myth, which I'm not sure I understand.

For instance: Why throw the barn zombies a sack of chickens? Do zombies starve? So what happens if they starve? Do they die? So guy in well should have died?

no matter. Let's assume that zombies can live long on meat. Why do they crave other humans so much? Why not go after cows...who are more sedentary and easier targets?

Speaking of cows. That nice, tranquil and supposedly safe farm has a crap load of cows (and chickens). You'd think that zombies would be all over the farm. Here be cows we can eat. Yet those cows we see in the farm grazing away seem rather safe and aloof from any danger.

I hate also in this show how slow-moving groaning zombies apparently materialize out of nowhere so quick. Like on the highway in the earlier episode and in the village in the last one. One moment the village is quiet and clean, the next there's an invasion of them.

In the end maybe as Berk said, this show is less about zombies than people trying to survive a disaster. In fact in the most recent episode I actually forgot we were watching a zombie flick and the zombies in the village surprised me. Wasn't expecting them.
