I'd like to try Buspar sometime and see if it does shit.  Benzos are the only thing that works, IMO.  But you are saddling yourself with a real addiction if its long term.  SSRIs are dangerous crap and not very effective.  "Oh you're a young person with xxx mental problem: the best cure is a drug that makes you fat, destroys your libido, and might make you want to kill yourself!"

SSRIs work for most people. Side effects are just that, SIDE effects. The main effects are what's important.

Weight gain and sexual side effects affect a substantial majority of people who take SSRIs.  And I think there's some doubt that they are even effective for people in the middle range of symptoms.

Anyways, I watched "Quai des Brumes" (Marcel Carné, 1937) last night.  It was great, with a very nice supporting role for handsome Nazi collaborator Robert Le Vigan, who I only knew as a character in Céline's "fleeing the liberation of France" trilogy of novels.

Yes, the actor Le Vigan later became a collaborator in real life, fled France with Céline for Germany in 1944, and then was written about as a character in Céline's autobiographical novels.

The Benzos work okay for me.  I was getting paranoid that I might be addicted to them so I stopped.  Didn't face any withdrawal.  I tried the Buspar again, but just doesn't do anything.  So I'm back on the Benzos.  I think I'm just resistant to a lot of drugs.  I often don't feel any effect.

Ain't that truth.  I gained 70 pounds in under three months with one of the medications.
