[TV] "Treme" season two and The so far of "Game of Thrones" are both kicking my ass...
"The Killing" starting to bore me a bit... but I'm still in...
Camelot, fun camp. Some fun twists on a done to death story.
Nurse jackie ???? wtf this show is coasting... a lot of the tension has been lost for me.
South Park... (yes it's still on) first two were soso, but the Canada royal wedding one was awesome. I wish Canada really was like that. :p
[/TV]

Haven't started s.2 of Treme yet; will get to it shortly.
Loving GoT

Enjoying The Killing but agree it is slowing down a bit, although the last episode picked up.

Nurse Jackie jumped the shark, unfortunately.

With most TV shows done for the year. Anything good coming up for this summer rotation?
True Blood on HBO.
Last season of Stargate Universe somewhere.
Burn Notice on Showcase, reruns of season 1.

CW still exists? The network for the poors.

I would have said the Network for teenage girls but you know best.
Nikita is very good and not really aimed at teenage girls.

Yea but that's only one show.

Saw that. I don't like BN.

I think last season of SGU has finished.

Yes. Stargate is no more. :(

I still say they should reboot SG-1.

Only if they find a way to do it without the last season.  The Egyptian gods were all parasitic aliens?  Sure.  The greys turned out to be the gods of Asgard?  Okay.  The stuff with the Ori and Merlin and Morgan le Fey left a sour taste in my mouth, though.

oh.  I was just seeing the S1 finale on some channel, I thought the new season hadn't started yet.  It's reruns then.

Why?  The Ancients are part of the lore since the beginning.

There's no where to go if you keep basing the show in the present.

I see it this way. It's 2012 or some such, the gate hasn't been discovered yet. Daniel finds the gate in Egypt along with the DHD this time. Go along from there. The Snakes can be enemies again. I'd really like if when Tauri gets out there it's all out war between the Asgards (not bluffing this time) & the Snake Lords.

A part of the lore, sure. Recent sci fi showrunners seem to have this thing lately where if it's referenced, they seem to consider it a personal challenge to see that it ends up onscreen somehow.  I liked the business with the ancients because it left some to the imagination, like "given the special effects we've got, these Ancients must be incredible."  Instead, we get CG "aura" effects and the same kind of "wet" vocal filters that the Goa'uld/Tok'ra used.

Slargos

If they could do a gritty reboot of SG-1 I'd be all over it. It was a good premise, and I especially liked Atlantis, but it played too much like a Newzie adventure show. All the people they encounter are melting-pot noble savages aside from the evil but technologically advanced societies who all wear Star Trek Nazi uniforms.

The aliens are dangerous and threatening the first couple of episodes, but then they become mooks with worse aim than storm troopers..

Yawn.

I'd even be willing to see it go back to the original business with the Goa'uld and the Tok'ra, but the Tok'ra are radicals who splintered away- they should have been a little more willing to get their hands dirty.  It'd make for better drama with the Tauri being forced to choose sides after stumbling into the middle of a war.

at least something actually happened in the latest episode. I think the season will end with her actually trying to get clean. But yeah having all the secrets out (well most of them) has just well made the show jump the shark.

it's really too bad.

Oh man, I'm into that one.  My Magic 8 Ball is pointed right at the Dad's coworker.

Yeah that's what I think as well, seems too forced to be actually someone in the political end of it.
