Season 6 finale. God damn,
not Jadzia
:(
contract dispute. she went to work on becker with ted danson after. of all the characters she would be the replaceable one, what with the symbiote
Yeah,
her death screamed "contract dispute" to me as soon as it happened. Such a throwaway way to kill her off.
The new
Dax is cute, but doesn't hold a candle to Jadzia.
I thought she was more attractive, but an obvious 'quick hire' as far as acting talent and writing went.

PDH!

The Brain

Some more episodes of Harlots. Weirdly they chose to shoot without lighting, so everything is dark all the time. You can see vague movement and if you don't recognize people's voices you're out of luck. It might be "realistic", but unfortunately it is also "unfuckingwatchable".

The baseball episode - I don't care for baseball, but "bunch of misfits have to beat the jocks" is one of my favorite sports movie tropes

Hilarious episode.

More random trivia. The actor who played rom was actually a really good baseball player (could have gone pro in his youth, how far he'd go who knows) so had to play with his off hand.

Maybe he should have stuck to baseball if he couldn't act like he was bad at it.

Started watching Sense8. A couple episodes in - I am intrigued. How did I miss this?

Don't get too attached to it, it plummets heavily after the first few episodes, IMO. Concept is great, though. IIRC it was cancelled after the 2nd season, even if it was intended to go on longer and ends up in an unresolved cliffhanger.

Malthus

Finished two seasons of Barry. I really enjoyed this show. The acting skills necessary for these characters are great, and they really pull it off.

Yeah, I am trying to imagine pretending not to be able to make a right handed lay up without making it look stupid.  Much better to go with my left (and yes I recognize I should have be able to go strong both ways - but that is why I went to law school  :D)

There's a TV movie that resolves the cliffhanger and wraps up the series.  It's really the 3rd season stripped down to 2 1/2 hours.

This was one of the shows I thought was actually stronger in the second season than the first.  The fact that Lilly Wachowski dropped out of the writing and directing roles made the vision clearer, I thought.

FunkMonk

Started watching Evil on Netflix. Really enjoyable. If you're into angels and demons and exorcisms and prophecies and all the Christian mythology stuff I think you'd enjoy it too.

The main characters are likeable and it's got Michael Emerson from Lost playing a real bastard which is perfect

I'd say the opposite there, though it could just be because of the gap between the two.
I really got into the first but when the second appeared...I just couldn't get into it and dropped it within a handful of episodes.
