Ren and Stimpy - and others like it (Rocko's Modern Life) - were incredible growing up. I loved them and think they maybe actually had a big impact on my sense of humour.

Very pleased to hear kids still like it. And the songs especially are great.

Saltburn - A Ripley-ish psychological thriller where an aristocrat befriends a lower class scholarship student at Oxford and takes him to his family's estate to spend the summer. Sex, decadent rich people, and murder ensue. This is not a great movie (a lot of it it's simply baffling and not in a good way), but it's a magnificent trashy movie. Can't wait to hear what Sheilbh thinks of it :D

Speaking of media that still holds up - my boy is obsessively reading Calvin & Hobbes these days.

My daughter loves it to.

I can't wait. I hate Brideshead Revisited, but love Brideshead Revisited adaptations

Yeah... I could never manage one piece. But who knows, when mine get older could be a way to connect.

Hunter x hunter now... That is worth watching from the start.

I know, but it's still funny to think about.

I've seen the netflix version, found it pretty enjoyable (nearly binge watched it actually). Is the anime version worth it?

We're watching the anime version.

It's low framerate and obviously anime from the time it was made (90s?). If you find that charming, it's definitely worth watching IMO. If you find that kind of thing annoying, probably less so.

Darth Wagtaros

Rudolph The Red Nosed Reindeer.

Santa was a real jackwagon.

Raging Rudolph. Never saw the Godfather, but this was probably a better version anyway.

PDH!

Do the youngling notice this at all?

I've heard from teachers working with kids around 10-14 or so they tend to really reject traditional animation and see it as outdated and crap if it's not 3D. <_<

But then I remember when I was that age it's a dip when striving to be adults most would reject all animation entirely so... Progress?
