Also - I push it on literally everyone I meet/know - but on cop shows I really recommend Giri/Haji which is a London/Tokyo crime story and wonderful.

I think it's on Netflix - but make sure to watch the recaps because they are beautifully little animated summaries of the last episode that shouldn't be missed (rather than just a load of clips).

Checked it out on your recommendation.

Very goof quality overall, but the romantic connection they try to set up between Kenzo and Sarah feels way too forced.  As a viewer, I just don't buy it.

It is a bit. But that's true of most romantic subplots.

I guess it makes a bit more sense to read it like kenzo is very repressed, stuck in the drudgery of salaryman-cop life with a wife he isn't into anymore but for appearances cannot leave.... And then bam free in London the world is his. Sarah just happens to be the woman he is spending the most time with for other reasons and she has issues herself so is also ripe to jump into bed with the first nice man who helps her feel safe.

If it had gone into series 2 () I'd hope they would take this to a natural conclusion where they realise they aren't actually suited for each other and need to look inside themselves for happiness.

That the odd thing for me.  I saw all of that, and sympathize with how they wanted to go with the story that way...but I just find their chemistry convincing (though the scene where he challenges her to be quiet for 20 seconds was a really good scene).  I actually felt, from the way the characters were played, it still felt like he had more chemistry with his wife than with Sarah, even if they were trying for the opposite effect.

I 'm fine with them when it's something relatively
new
. Thing is when do you
stop?
I used to have this argument at the work kitchen table, when we would be talking about the finale of GoT, and someone would say "no spoilers, I haven't started watching the series yet."

I mean, it's no big deal. It just seems silly.

By the way, I haven't watched GAme 7 of the Leafs v. Habs game yet. Hope we win.

Then you're smarter than Lucas, who still had not figured it out when making ESB.  :P

Archer Season 8, "Dreamland." Really enjoyed the season, even though it rates below average on IMDB compared to other seasons. I liked the over the top noir shenanigans. And it made me nostalgic for playing L.A. Noire which is set in the same year. Nice send off for George Coe (Woodhouse), too. :)

Based on the preview art, season 9 seems to be inspired by Tales of the Gold Monkey, a show I loved as a kid (and which was the basis for Disney's Talespin, which I also loved).

I loved tales of the Gold Monkey, and loved the season of Archer.  Most other people I know didn't. But they are heathens.

I loved the Pacific Island Archer season, too. Actually more than S8. But most people didn't.

Watching White Lotus. Good fun. Sort of Fawlty Towers meets Dallas.

I've finished watching Clarksons Farm.
Its genuinely great. Speaking as someone who was once into Top Gear but completely lost interest in it and the Grand Tour after the incident.
Even my GF loves it. She has never heard of Clarkson.
I demand series 2.
