Who should you vote for in the next British election?

I like online polls. I always thought Agelastus is an idiot and his results confirm this.

Since I probably have a higher IQ than you, and I was already aware that our views were diametrically opposite in most respects, I will take your opinion with a pinch of salt. :P

Besides, other than their policy on Europe where we are bound to disagree, I don't recall seeing anything particularly objectionable to you in UKIP's other policies. I am curious as to where (other than Europe) your disagreement with them lies.

Someone who votes for the UKIP probably mildly disparaged gays at some point.  There is only one issue that Martinus cares about, even a little bit.  Everything in his life revolves around that one issue.  He is:  Too gay to function.
I do not hate you, nor do I love you, but you are made out of atoms which I can use for something else.

Environment is easily the least important issue to me on the list.  But if you recall, the BNP supported using local/seasonal produce, reducing taxes on garbage collection, and more ethical farming procedures rather than meat factories.

I like all of these things, so I went with it. Other environmental polices typically sound overly expensive.

While there does seem to be a certain amount of circumstantial evidence that you are correct, I still consider this more of a Languish manufactured meme than a general obsession of Martinus'. Certainly recently it seems he is "dogpiled" whatever and whenever he posts, regardless of content. I also don't recall ever specifically referencing his sexuality in any of the infrequent times I have debated with him... :hmm:

Anyway, for the record, I have no interest in anyone's sexuality. It is their own business, and other than the legalities of the age of consent, not a matter for the law or other people. I can recall making one remark in poor taste about someone's sexuality during one of the Languish "pile-ons" on the old server, which I now regret. Unfortunately, I cannot recall which of the "G"s I made it to... :(

And Martinus, I am genuinely interested in why you are so strongly against UKIPs policies that do not directly relate to membership of the European Union?

Raising the price of meat is a terrible idea, and makes me think that the BNP might be mildly retarded.  And reducing taxes on garbage collection is counterproductive.

Well that cinched it.  Bragging about your IQ (or what you think your IQ is compared to Martys) does in fact make you idiot.
I've given it serious thought. I must scorn the ways of my family, and seek a Japanese woman to yield me my progeny. He shall live in the lands of the east, and be well tutored in his sacred trust to weave the best traditions of Japan and the Sacred South together, until such time as he (or, indeed his house, which will periodically require infusion of both Southern and Japanese bloodlines of note) can deliver to the South it's independence, either in this world or in space.  -Lettow April of 2011

Well Neil, if you say so, i'll have to defer to your superior judgement. As I say, environmental issues struggle to be something I can care about. At best I tend to identify with buy local movements as a means of strengthening the South.

Only judging by online tests, which are generally known to be inaccurate, but which are the only yardsticks I can recall us Languishites ever taking.

If Martinus has taken an official MENSA test (something I have never bothered to do) I will gladly reverse that comment of mine and apologise.

Too much to read, didn't take.

So, let's say National Socialist since all web quizzes call me Hitler.

Democracy    Green Party
Economy    Labour
Education    Lib Dems
Environment    Green Party
Europe    Lib Dems
Health / NHS    Green Party
Immigration    Conservatives
Welfare    Conservatives

Then again, I wouldn't put much trust on it, as some of the issues were so idiosincratically British that I just couldn't relate much to them, and others were plainly uninteligible as a non-Brit due to the vast amount of programs, weird taxes and stuff that I simply don't know much/anything about.

But really, buy local movements don't strengthen the South, as they create smaller, weaker economic fiefdoms.  Export and trade bring strength.  Given that the South's main economic strength is relatively cheap first-world labour, I would think that the very idea of 'buy local' would be anathaema to a true son of the South.

And the meat issue isn't really environmental, but economic, social and health-based.

Chalk another one up for UKIP then.

Fantastic.  In Britain I'd be a Conservative.  <_<  Fuck I even agreed with the Nazis on one thing.

Really, Neil, your suggesting giving yankees money instead of southern businesses that offer the same products or service is in some way good for the South?
