If you look at Shelf's table (he he) the data on the independents gets tossed out anyway.

I'm confused... you need the 2d social/economic scale...
First Maxim - "There are only two amounts, too few and enough."
First Corollary - "You cannot have too many soldiers, only too few supplies."
Second Maxim - "Be willing to exchange a bad idea for a good one."
Second Corollary - "You can only be wrong or agree with me."

A terrorist which starts a slaughter quoting Locke, Burke and Mill has completely missed the point.
The fact remains that the only person or group to applaud the Norway massacre are random Islamists.

GOP, Approve.

I have my doubts about his stimulus bill; but so far he's turned out better than I thought.   :bowler:
In Italy, for thirty years under the Borgias, they had warfare, terror, murder and bloodshed, but they produced Michelangelo, Leonardo da Vinci and the Renaissance. In Switzerland, they had brotherly love, they had five hundred years of democracy and peace—and what did that produce? The cuckoo clock

These days I guess I'm technically "left" - a social liberal and fiscal moderate.  I've moved further away from fiscal conservatism in the last year and a half or so because fiscal libertarianism is basically unworkable.  We have big governments and they aren't going anywhere.  They're going to spend money - our money - and so I'm more of the mindset these days that government spending concerns ought to be practical rather than ideological - what will work rather than what "should" work in my little la-la dreamland.

Having prefaced thusly, I voted "approve", although I'd amend that with "cautiously".  I don't like the cult of personality around Obama and it makes me nervous to see that.  I do like that he's made some tough decisions and seems to be capable of working both sides of the aisle on certain issues.

I don't know how to vote. I'm a registered Dem and disapprove. I wonder if I really count as a Dem though. :weep:
"I've never been quite sure what the point of a eunuch is, if truth be told. It seems to me they're only men with the useful bits cut off."

I drank because I wanted to drown my sorrows, but now the damned things have learned to swim.

Right and disapprove, although not violently so.
Posts here are my own private opinions.  I do not speak for my employer.

Dem/Left, tentatively approve but feel it's really too early to make a concrete judgment. I think he's still in his honeymoon period to some degree, so would expect both political alignments to statistically skew towards "approve" for the time being.

In Canadian terms I am right.  In American terms I am likely a looney lefty.  Jury is still out.  Not yet disappointed but nothing worthy of approval either.
