Painted some LOTR trolls, one Olog-hai and two normal trolls. They are from Ragnarok miniatures, which has a good LOTR (not offically LOTR) range, that is growing. Very nice minis I think. :) Also did some Woses, same manufacturer.

And some orcs, (Ragnarok Goblins). They form a Minas Morgul battle company, together with the two Black NĂºmenĂ³reans I painted earlier (see upthread). The archers appear to be heavily influenced by GW Night Goblins, but they'll do.

A new LOTR Dwarven battle company. I made one earlier (see upthread), but I couldn't say no to these Ragnarok minis.

Those are fantastic for Tolkien Dwarves. I love the look of the Games Workshop/Armies of Middle Earth Iron Hills Dwarves, but they're silly expensive, out of print, and resin.  :glare:

Thanks! :)

The bases are Geek Gaming Scenics' Base Ready Mountain Pass, which isn't their most inspiring but works for stony guys like Dwarves I think. I can always add more details later if I want.

I cannot recommend the basing material from Geek Gaming Scenics enough. I really like the result of my earlier way of basing, but it was a multi-step process that took significant time. With the GGS stuff it takes seconds, and the result is great (like the skeletons, trolls and orcs above with their Wasteland Soil). A painted and based figure always looks better than a figure that remains unpainted because it's too much effort to paint and base it...

Basing material of this kind has existed for some time of course, but I think the GSS stuff brings much better quality, and they have a great range.
