Stupid and pointless.

Not really.  It's an acknowledgement of history.  Something Japan could learn.

I'm not sure. It's as if France passed a resolution today condemning the US for the Trail of Tears. Or if Germany condemned France for the quelling of the revolt in Vandee.

Neither of those countries are important. The United States is.    :showoff:

What good would that accomplish?
I do not hate you, nor do I love you, but you are made out of atoms which I can use for something else.

At any rate, I don't see any real value in annoying the Turks for the sake of the Armenians.

Hopefully at some point the government will get back to the important shit and leave Turkey alone over stuff they may or may not have done almost a century ago.
Turkey didn't exist a century ago and it isn't Turkey that is the accused in this case.

The second is relevant, the first is not.  It would be more like France passing a resolution condemning the Lachine massacre and the US recalling its ambassador as a result.

What about just annoying Turks for the sake of annoying Turks?
First Maxim - "There are only two amounts, too few and enough."
First Corollary - "You cannot have too many soldiers, only too few supplies."
Second Maxim - "Be willing to exchange a bad idea for a good one."
Second Corollary - "You can only be wrong or agree with me."

A terrorist which starts a slaughter quoting Locke, Burke and Mill has completely missed the point.
The fact remains that the only person or group to applaud the Norway massacre are random Islamists.

Turks are valuable.
