Personally, I avoid assholes of all ilks. I'd rather be single than treated badly by anyone. Between "alpha" nice guys and "geek" nice guys, though, I always went for the alpha geeks. ^_^

Hey, and a .500 marriage average will definitely get you into Cooperstown.

Better than someone with a .000 average.
It is far better for the truth to tear my flesh to pieces, then for my soul to wander through darkness in eternal damnation.

Jet: So what kind of woman is she? What's Julia like?
Faye: Ordinary. The kind of beautiful, dangerous ordinary that you just can't leave alone.
Jet: I see.
Faye: Like an angel from the underworld. Or a devil from Paradise.

That's like ragging on a running back about his completion percentage, you oaf.
I do not hate you, nor do I love you, but you are made out of atoms which I can use for something else.

I thought it was a good article, though somewhat shallow. It's main fault was that it didn't mention Houellebecq. He portrays modern life better than any other writer I have read, and this subject is one of his main themes, and also the theme of his first book, which I consider his best. If one is really interested in the damage wrought by the generation of 68, it is to Houellebecq one must turn. He is perhaps the greatest writer of our time.

LaDainian Tomlinson has an excellent completion percentage. -_-

Hey, don't years count? I have been married for 15 years total. When you figure I'm only 40, that's not half-bad.

At the very least, it oughta count that I'm in the game... unlike some people.

I met a man who wasn't there
He wasn't there again today
I wish, I wish he'd go away...

Just came across a very long and rambling article in the weekly standard railing against the seduction community and modern dating/mating habits in general. It also has a surprising referencing to this crime. Basically the end claim to the article is that the sexual revolution has primarily benefited women to the disadvantage of all non-alpha males.  A rather odd, though sometimes thought provoking article.

Actually, that's a damned fine article.  Thanks.  You actually contributed something positive other than copy-pastes of AP wires.

You're kidding, right?

Nope.  Misogyny in print, regardless of its form, entertains me.
