Steam bullshit OR Why I'm going back to piracy

So I decided that they've finally made it enough of a hazzle to download content on a non-profit basis and started buying stuff on Steam.

Now I cannot download what I've bought since "servers are busy"

What is the fucking point of paying for content if I'm STILL going to suffer from installation problems?
