They also managed to make the WOK pants properly black instead of grey.

Kinda running out of direction in the game....  Feel like all I have to look forward to is a new ship and thats it....grind for a new ship and do the same exact things rinse and repeat.   :(

I'm feeling the same, though I still find the combat entertaining, and the story missions are somewhat interesting, even thuogh the elements (kill/scan/etc.) remain the same.

While you can customize your ship and crew a great deal, a lot of your equipment looks the same. A phaser array will always fire the same yellow beam, no matter whether it's Mk I or Mk IV with some bonus, same with torpedoes. This is of course canon, but some variation would be fun (make the beam brighter, pulse more or whatever).

Also, a lot of the places look very similar, even though there's an effort not to let every planet look like any other. However, think back to WoW when you first flew from Ironforge to Stormwind or vice versa, seeing below all the (then) high level areas that were dangled before you and you knew once you leveled enough you'd go explore that.

In STO you indeed only have your skills and ships to look forward to as it is.

Aye, I look at it as a diversion til the Star Wars MMO is ready but still its a fun diversion and I try not to overplay it. Last night I healed a WoW instance and I realized even after a month or so hiatus I am burned out on it still. :)

Maybe I'm just mmo'd out at the moment.

Oddly, I have to agree with Jaron on these counts. I just browsed on the Old Republic site and just looking at the planets and the narrated setting background info has me drooling.

Just finished the time travel quest around the Guardian of Forever. I have to say this was pretty cool. It also gives a glimpse of what can be done with missions within the engine.

That's probably the best mission that I've seen so far. Although I haven't enjoyed the mirror universe missions of DS9. I wish they'd send me to the Gamma quadrant instead or made more of a focus on the Cardassians.

The Romulan/Reman set is pretty cool too.

Don't hold your breath on the SW MMO, is it still more then 1 year away.

I am getting the same feeling.  Yippee, a new ship to do the same quests with a couple more BO slots.  Not a lot to get excited about.  Even when  blue items drop its not all that exciting because I really dont know what the hell the stats actually do.

Same thing for levelling.  Who really cares about getting more skill points.  I dont really notice any difference if I have level 1 skill in mines or level 9.  And we all know how much I like my mines.

I will likely lose interest soon if it keeps up like this.

I was thinking the same thing this morning as I entered a new sector.  Its all the same. Same enemies, same basic quest tasks, same items (with the only difference being MRK 1-whatever).  There is no sense of exploration in this game.  No sense of wondering what is around the next corner.  Its all pretty generic.

CC have you even leveled enough to get 2nd ship?

Yep, I am LC 6 or 7 and not that excited about getting the third ship.

katmai

Well i'm not one to try and convince folks, but i'll say the aspects of space combat changed a bit with moving into Romulan areas as their tactics are quite different.
I just got my third ship and went from Cruiser to an Escort because the Cruiser are too slow for my taste.
