Agreed, It's hard to make a TV show about mind-body duality and monotheism vs polytheism.
First Maxim - "There are only two amounts, too few and enough."
First Corollary - "You cannot have too many soldiers, only too few supplies."
Second Maxim - "Be willing to exchange a bad idea for a good one."
Second Corollary - "You can only be wrong or agree with me."

A terrorist which starts a slaughter quoting Locke, Burke and Mill has completely missed the point.
The fact remains that the only person or group to applaud the Norway massacre are random Islamists.

After the disaster that was the BSG ending I'm not getting suckered in to watching another.   <_<

Indeed.  I'll watch "The Plan" (which has been pushed to 2010 rather than airing in oct.) for nostalgia' sake but Caprica had nothing interestin to offer.  So the first sentient cylon was actually a neurotic teenager...  I guess it's one explanation for the following genocide doh!  <_<

[Ronald Moore] Continuity is for posers, it's all about the characters![/ronald moore]

:p Actually I kinda liked Caprica in the same way i was intrigued by early BSG. I have no doubt if it does become a series they'll fuck it up. oh well.
:p

So? Anyone watch the first episode?

Has sounded like a crap idea for a programme from the start anyway. All the bad bits of BSG without the good bits.

I didn't see the pilot but saw the first episode, and I actually think it has mucho potential.

Possibly ok idea executed very poorly. I couldn't stand computer girl, and the only likable character (Adama) was sort of boring. I liked it when the minster called him a wop, though.
Quis futuit ipsos fututores?

Fate

It's better than the Giant Killer Laser Shark shows that generally populate Syfy prime time, so I'm happy with it.

Faeelin

I wholeheartedly agree the first thing we'd do with VR is shooters and porn.

Not bad. A bit heavy handed.

Agreed, though to be fair I think teenagers are, in general, heavy-handed types, especially when it comes to parental confrontation and religion.  I liked it a whole bunch, and I haven't gotten into BSG yet.
