Went over to Ottawa last week-end to see the Senators in action.  The ones on ice with hockey sticks, of course, not the ones sleeping all day long :P

Ottawa is still a nice city, 14 years after I last saw the place :)
They've made a lot of progress with regards to bilinguism, or Montreal has lost a lot and that skewed my perspective :P
We ate at The Keg downtown, and I found this to be a really nice place :)
Everything is still über expensive in Ottawa though, 6$ parking for 2hrs + 65$ for the supper.  Ouch.
Hadn't had the chance to cross over to Hull (sorry, Gatineau now!), so can't say about that part of Quebec.
All in all it was a very nice trip, even though it was a short one. I arrived in Ottawa at 14:00, and left right after the game around 22:30, going back to MTL instead of paying 200$ for an hotel (didn't I tell you the city if fucking expensive??).

Now on to the game itself :)
The arena is a bit far from the city, and imho, the city should better developp it's public transportation.  But driving there is a charm.  You ain't stuck in traffic for 3hrs and there's enough parking places for everyone.  That's really nice for a change :)

The Sens easily won 5-3 against the Buffalo Sabers, after wich some frustrated fans attempted, without much success, to destroy the seats with their caps.  :D
Overall, I found the arena to be a bit cold, a distinct lack of atmosphere.  I was warned, couldn't believe it, but hey, I suppose it's in Ontarians' nature to be 'cold' ;)  :D

Ottawa is a power to be reckoned with, even without Kovalev.  I hate to break it to you Habs fans, but there's no way you will survive round #1 of the playoffs this year, no matter wich team you fight with. ;)

Are they playing Auxerre?

The Keg is expensive pretty much anywhere you go. I think it's somewhat overrated, really. Not dissing it. It's good steak. Just over priced.

Are they playing Auxerre?

Fortunately not, since they would probably lose as Auxerre is number one  :D

I found it better than Bâton Rouge or Le Bifteak in Quebec city.  I kinda like the place though.  Will have to go back to Ottawa, some day :)

Did not know that; it was the nearest town that I could think of that I knew had a team.
