After Armageddon Empires, I can't wait for this one. Similar mechanics, with demons fighting each other for more power, with tcp/ip and pbem support... OMG, come Wednesday!

Syt

Looking forward to this, but won't have time for it.

Is there a guide somewhere that "describes" this game?

In the blog I linked you can find a link to an ongoing AAR, which explains many of the mechanics

Yes. Judging by the AAR, there has to be tons of possibilities for diplomacy, trickery, and various strategies to specialize in. I just hope there is indeed TCP/IP, altough PBEM should be managable, if slow.

If it's anywhere near as good as Armageddon Empires this should be great.

Speaking of which, is it still 30 dollars?

IIRC yes

Reading the designers blog, a couple things stand out:

1. He understands gaming. Not just making an interesting looking/playing game, but he understands the complexity of choices that make a good game, beyond whatever theme or context that game exists in.

2. He seems like an evil bastard, as it relates to #1. Seems to love making rules, then creating cards/events/whatever that break those rules, then making other cards/events/whatever to break the broken rules.

3. This will be awesome, unless

4. It sucks.

As Syt said: Armageddon Empires is awesome. It screamed for MP, the designer was just kinda too lazy to recode the whole thing in an engine which would have allowed it. So my hopes are very very high for this game.

I tried liking Amageddeon empires, but the turns dragged with all the die rolling.
