I may not be able to read hilarious Canadian newspaper articles on why Canadian teams didn't win this year. And the hilarious gnashing of Canadian teeth on various fora.

I R SAD. :(

I think that at this point we're all too busy hoping that someone, anyone beats Vancouver.  Sorry.
I do not hate you, nor do I love you, but you are made out of atoms which I can use for something else.

@ Vancouver: the game plan, was more or less, a neutral zone trap. one man forecheck, hope the other team makes more mistakes than you. I don't think much of that kind of hockey, so the 'nucks got what they deserved.

in game three, they were more aggressive, went with two men in. they won.
now that the series is tied and shifting back to home ice, my hopes are that they will apply more force in seeking a win.

I agree and I disagree with CCR that it was a good game.  It was good up until Vancouver scored the first goal then they went into a total trap and turned the game into a contest of seeing who would make mistakes rather then who could make great plays.   Vancouver is much better when they play aggressively in the offensive zone and then collapse back to their goal.  Now hopefully Vancouver will go back to the style that works for them best.

I can just imagine what you would be like if the Maple Leafs ever made the playoffs.

Largely the same.  The difference is that I won't have to worry about that for many years to come, if ever.

Ya I agree %100. They didn't deserve that one. You can't sit on a one goal lead against anyone in the playoffs. (and they've seen this team come back every game pretty much, so why would you let yourself fall into that trap of the trap?)

lame.

play better at home guys. sheesh.
:p

Shirley Washington will not blow its 2-0 lead tonight right?

Ovechkin will return to form...I just know it.

If by form you mean idiotic headhunting and dirty cheap shots then you were right. He was downright shaking scared when talking about it in the post game news conference. Most anyone else and he wouldn't be playing tomorrow night, no way Bettman suspends him though. Oh well, hopefully tomorrow night will be the last time the Caps faithful can "rock the red" and see their hero before he hits the golf course.

You're blowing it again Washington. Who said the 90s were over?

They do have a real coach now, I predict they'll make it next year.
Come writers and critics who prophesize with your pen, and keep your eyes wide the chance won't come again; but don't speak too soon for the wheel's still in spin, and there's no telling who that it's naming. For the loser now will be later to win, cause the times they are a-changin'. -- B Dylan

.. 3-1 now.

Nothing much to say about that, a deserved win. I like the Canada team this year. Attack-oriented, not that many grinders and Ruff behind the bench.
