It Was Nice Knowing You All - What Are Your Plans For the Coming Apocalypse?

Given the international situation, what are your plans for surviving the likely coming apocalypse*

I'm in Southern England, so if more than a few nukes start flying my fellow Brits and I are truly fucked, as it'll take only a handful of warheads targeted at England's urban corridor to leave smoking ruins a la 'threads'. So not sure it's worth making any survival preparations.

Alternative the situation just worse and worse each month, for some months or a couple of years before starvation becomes a probable end. Any amount of prepping and food storage is only going to delay that by a few months, perhaps.

A second 'given' is we've so over armed ourselves, that there's enough reserves to fuel the fighting over the remaining bunkers of canned goods and ready meals to last a bad few years. When that's done I don't think they'll be many left in the West.

So my hope for humanity lies with the those already on the margins of survival, those in the harsh near desert conditions or the high mountains. Those people have the necessary skills to survive on little and the remaining lunatics amongst our 'civilisation' aren't going to make it there with the weapons to kill them off.

That's my hope and in a way it's a lot better than some fucking billionaires making it to Mars, to continue their social media wars.

Realistically I'm going to roll the dice and hope that whatever location I happen to be in is not directly blown up and then muddle through whatever the local conditions are, to the best of my ability.

Theoretically the "survivor" scenario is probably finding somewhere likely in the remote wilds of BC, but do I have the wherewithal and capital to actual do anything about it prior to things kicking off? No, not really.

I screwed up, I was just in Portugal a few days ago, where I would have better chances in the countryside near Bragança than in Paris.

I had pinpointed a hamlet, somewhat isolated, where I had some family.

Stop paying attention to the Apocalypse, it just wants attention. I'd send my family at least to the cottage if it's just regular invasion and war. If it's every power on Earth fires off their entire arsenal then, depending on the season my family cottage in the Eastern highlands. Nuking Iceland is weird, you really only need one warhead for the greater Reykjavík area and one for Keflavík so anything beyond that is an enormous waste. Which would leave plenty intact to rebuild the nation.

I am currently preparing for a possible economic depression, clearing out debts and stockpiling resources in case we all lose our jobs. If an actual apocalypse breaks out well I guess I needn't worry. Nothing much I can do about that.
