Now, if only I can get over the angst of all those candles and the questions they demand answers to! Who makes all that wax? What kind of thread do they use for their wicks?

if Languish was to stop such things as discussing pointless, minor issues, what would be left of our community? :)

True, very true.

I assume they're made in Illian since their flag has nine golden bees on it.
It is far better for the truth to tear my flesh to pieces, then for my soul to wander through darkness in eternal damnation.

Jet: So what kind of woman is she? What's Julia like?
Faye: Ordinary. The kind of beautiful, dangerous ordinary that you just can't leave alone.
Jet: I see.
Faye: Like an angel from the underworld. Or a devil from Paradise.

We don't share nearly enough of those.  :(
To sleep, perchance to dream. But in that sleep of death, what dreams may come?

The Minsky Moment

The candles have been snuffed out for good.
We have, accordingly, always had plenty of excellent lawyers, though we often had to do without even tolerable administrators, and seen destined to endure the inconvenience of hereafter doing without any constructive statesmen at all.

Watched season 3. Staring getting good and peaked at episode four, then got progressively worse. I kept watching hoping it'd get better again. It didn't. All I can say in its favour is that it was better than primes LOTR show.
Being lazy is bad; unless you still get what you want, then it's called "patience".
Hubris must be punished. Severely.

I watched it but never really got it completely... something just feels a bit strange about the world to me.  Especially the bonding thing which seems kind of creepy.  I enjoyed Rand finally becoming a man in the last season and flexing his powers, shame we won't be able to see more of that.

Most people have the exact opposite reaction to season three. It got better and better and the final two shows were amazing.

Part of the problem is that there was so much time in between seasons that it was easy for people to lose plot, so a lot of the significance of what happened in the second half of the third season gets lost on casual viewers and might even seem confusing.

The time in between the seasons was also probably the reason why the audience dropped off, even though the seasons got progressive better from 1st to 3rd.  And that is ultimately why the show got canceled.

Opened the last page of this thread and I had to double take when I saw a post by Berkut (!!!!) I guess the thread's activity helps explain why the show was cancelled.  :P

I'm not familiar with the books, but I thought the show was finally hitting its stride since the last episodes of season 2.

We were discussing it in the generic TV thread.  I had forgotten this thread existed.
