I'm real bummed by the death of the Gaudreaus. Some of the internet trollery on this subject is a new low.

Ugh. I have learned to avoid NHL fan spaces pretty heavily. The level of meanspirited awfulness that dominates so many is one of the many reasons I've taken my love of hockey to the PWHL and been so, so much happier.

Ya, he is motivated this year.  His fitness has been suspect for awhile before this.

I also think the way the caps and blues turned things around this year is going to affect other teams plans.  Things can change quickly in the cap era, only takes a couple good moves.  I foresee more offer sheets, the Dylan Holloway one turned out brilliant.
