Also Ted Lasso, Severance, Masters of the Air and Silo.

All of which are also worth the price of admission.

FunkMonk

Also on Apple TV, Lessons in Chemistry and Palm Royale are enjoyable.

So I would say Ted Lasso is worth the price of an Apple TV sub by itself.  I loved that show.

That being said, nothing else on the platform has every really grabbed me.

Schmigadoon was a fun short series.

Bad Sisters was also a great series that ran on Apple. To me Apple is the best of the lot after a poor start. It doesn't have the catalogue , so if you just like to wrap up on a Friday night and watch anything, Netflix is your thing. But if you like new, original series I'd go with Apple.

Interesting. I've never had it, but have heard from people that Apple TV is basically worth getting one of the free trials, watching all the good stuff and then cancelling.

Well, I suppose if you were going to watch TV 24/7 during the free period that would be possible.

There is a lot of good content.

Cheers Season 8. Episodes were broadcast in 1989, and it's interesting to contrast the look of a 1990 show with the early 1982 episodes.

The show has settled into a comfortable sitcom routine by now. Spotted two fun guest stars at ca. half way through S8.

Young Kevin Conroy plays a Red Sox player that Carla has the hots for. It would be two or three years before he would perform as Batman in the animated series, a role that would define most of his career.

A few episodes later, Lisa Kudrow in one of her first TV roles ... really weird to see her with black hair. :D

I am, somehow, less interested in the weight and convolutions of Einstein's brain than in the near certainty that people of equal talent have lived and died in cotton fields and sweatshops.
