And they say money can't buy you happiness.
Being lazy is bad; unless you still get what you want, then it's called "patience".
Hubris must be punished. Severely.

Quote from: DGuller on December 28, 2023, 01:46:29 AMSometimes it blows my mind that a company like Glock would have 1/1000th of a profit of Apple.  Unlike Apple products, Glock products really do change many lives.

They're meeting a legally sanctioned market demand.

Money can't buy you happiness, but it will allow you to rent it.
The future is all around us, waiting, in moments of transition, to be born in moments of revelation. No one knows the shape of that future or where it will take us. We know only that it is always born in pain.   -G'Kar

Jacob

Bryan Ansell passed away.

From a reddit post describing his impact:
QuoteNone of us would be here without him. He founded Citadel Minuatures, he hired people like the Perry Twins, Rick Priestly and Richard Halliwelll. He ordered Warhammer to be written, he invented plastic bases for miniatures and blister packs. He was the driving force behind the Realm of Chaos books, which arguably were the foundational Warhammer books and laid the foundation of the unique cosmology that set Warhammer apart from other fantasy and sci-fi creations.

Steve Jackson and Ian Livingstone may have created Game Workshop, but Bryan Ansell turned it into the company of Warhammer. For better or worse, he set the course the corporation would follow for the next few decades.

If you ever painted a fantasy miniature or moved a fantasy toy soldier over a tabletop, you have done so because of this man's vision.

Raise your glass in his honour tonight.

Citadel Miniatures even ended on Milton Bradley's games, through Games Workshop, so his vision has had a huge influence.
