To sleep, perchance to dream. But in that sleep of death, what dreams may come?

I think on the balance it is a good thing that accountable, pragmatic, non-glory seeking public officials are considered heroes. Hopefully more people are inspired to follow that example. I'm a big fan of the government bureaucracy being trusted by the population because it acts like it can be trusted.

I'm pretty pleased with our local BC Fauci equivalent.

Ours, Chris Whitty, has just been on national TV 30 seconds just before the night's big programme, to promote the booster campaign.

He's probably more trusted by the public than almost all politicians.

Ours was born in the last two thousand years.
I've given it serious thought. I must scorn the ways of my family, and seek a Japanese woman to yield me my progeny. He shall live in the lands of the east, and be well tutored in his sacred trust to weave the best traditions of Japan and the Sacred South together, until such time as he (or, indeed his house, which will periodically require infusion of both Southern and Japanese bloodlines of note) can deliver to the South it's independence, either in this world or in space.  -Lettow April of 2011

The future is all around us, waiting, in moments of transition, to be born in moments of revelation. No one knows the shape of that future or where it will take us. We know only that it is always born in pain.   -G'Kar

I think they just don't care.

They probably do, but they are professionals, hey have a job to do, and they know they can do it best.
I don't do meditation.  I drink alcohol to relax, like normal people.
