They're a weird cult/political group that have from time to time been listed as a terrorist organisation by the EU, US, Japan etc and are, by all accounts, absolutely loathed by everyone in Iran (because they kind of are a terrorist group and they got a lot of help from Saddam during the Iran-Iraq war etc).

Despite all of this they hold an annual conference with the exact same aesthetics but Iran-focused for a 'free and democratic Iran' with prominent speakers like Cory Booker, Ted Cruz, John Bercow, Stephen Harper - I think Sarko has been a key note speaker plus a few former Italian PMs. My assumption is they have a big speaker's fee and no-one does too much research, but it's really, really odd.

I think their last big rally was in Berlin and they had Mike Pompeo, plus senior Democrat advisers and the PM of Slovenia (when they had the rotating presidency). It's crazy the speakers they get given they are, objectively speaking, a terrorist cult.
