They are not remotely on the same side.  Being hostile to Jews doesn't make them on the same side. Lots of people are hostile to Jews.  The Almohads in Spain were hostile to the Jews. Castile was hostile to the Jews.  That doesn't mean the Almohads and Castile were on the same side.

Funny, that. A politician starts calling for maybe trying to solve any of the country's problems and suddenly they're both too pro-Israel/anti-Palestine and not pro-Israel/pro-Palestine enough.

I give much more a crap about Mamdani's "do something" promises than I do about his views on Israel.  Just because you suffer from headaches doesn't mean that having a butcher do a brain surgery on you is a good idea, even if he is "trying to do something" and the doctors are shrugging their shoulders.
