2010-2019 has been filled with a lot of, uh, interesting moments.

My favorite moment in a decade where the news media has been front and center of the cultural divide:

The rescue of the Chilean miners, as they individually returned to the surface over the space of a few hours.

An element of symbolism there and a compelling, uplifting sight.

Also wasn't it right at the start of the decade, 2010?


Since then not so many bright spots, the grotesqueness of much of the islamic terrorism has gotten me down, not scared or deterred/terrorized me, just that humans can sink that low and have no empathy for the innocent.
