Simp that I am, I bought my ticket for Mando & Grogu for May 20th, 5:30pm at the IMAX (English language version). -_-

I was looking up the voice actor for Brandor Lawson (the cop in Maul: Shadow Lord) to better place his accent.

He's Brazilian, Wagner Moura. I didn't make the connection till I looked at his IMDB page that he was Pablo Escobar on Narcos.

I love that actor.

Is Maul any good?

Syt

I like it a lot. But YMMV. I think you can go in with relatively little knowledge (i.e. doesn't require you to know tons of character lore except that Order 66 happened like a year or so ago and, well, Maul is alive :P ).

It's ok.  I think im watching it mostly because of my fondness for the clone wars cartoon.

Hubris must be punished. Severely.

What I like about Maul is that he seems to try so hard to play the master manipulator like his evil dad Palpatine, but at the end of the day brute force is what he knows and falls back on.

Maul is one of, if not, my favourite Star Wars characters. Helps that episode one came out when I was 15 and I thought he looked cool :D

But yeah, he thinks too highly of himself, but at the end of the day it's not his mind that's dangerous, but his athletic/arms prowess. And he fails time and time again because he relies on the skills he doesn't have instead of the ones he does.
