At home: medium to medium well.
At restaurant: well done, so I get it medium.

I won't be bothered if it's well done, but I'll hate it if they serve me a rare steak, or any meat rare.
That's what I hated the most from a trip to France, can't cook their meat.

The answer depends on the cut of meat. For example, I think a new york strip is best medium rare, a filet medium rare to medium, and a sirloin medium well.
