There were about eight people on mikes, and during the second verse one chick rips out a pretty loud belch.  I was laughing so much I couldn't sing.

I think of him as sounding either like Robert Mitchum or Angus Scrimm (who, incidentally, was among those who died in 2016).

Yeah.  Trump and Brexit were certainly horrible events.  But I don't consider 2016 particularly bad in terms of celebrities deaths.  They die every year.  I only feel bad about Carrie Fisher and the Thai King.  Otherwise, I vaguely remember the dude who starred in Labyrinth being dead.  And the guy who sang part of Last Christmas.
