Played a few games of TI.  I really suck at it.

What are non-suck strategies that will help me not finish last?

My biggest turnoff on that game was the realisation that if you can kick a guy out of the game so he just sits there for the next 4 hours, go for it.

Yeah.  It's a good game, but it's been supplanted.
The medievals were only too right in taking nolo episcopari as the best reason a man could give to others for making him a bishop. You two are not allowed to reply to each other. It gets confusing.
