JD Vance: "We're announcing today that we have decided to temporarily halt certain amounts of Medicaid funding that is going to the state of Minnesota in order to ensure that the state of Minnesota takes its obligations seriously to be good stewards of the American people's tax money."

Absolutely unhinged, but par for the course, idiocy and hatefulness from The Regime. I definitely wouldn't have guessed Minnesota to be the major battleground for the Trump War, yet here we are again.
It makes sense.  Minnesota is a small state, with lesser means to retaliate than California or New York.  Try this with NY or California and these States can enact a plan to resist the Federal govt more than Minnesota I suppose.  Take them one by one, the smaller ones first.
I don't do meditation.  I drink alcohol to relax, like normal people.

I believe Minnesota is also a substantial net contributor to the Federal budget. Like many blue states it effectively subsidises red states by being more economically dynamic and productive. Not that this matters when one is playing World of Bullshit.

Not positively for the GOP.

Minnesota is a weird state that almost never votes Republican in statewide elections, but has for like 30 years been quite closely divided between Democrats and Republicans. Taking a giant shit on Minnesota's economy isn't going to be very popular with Minnesotans--particularly the ones who aren't ideologically "locked in" to the GOP. Given the narrow margins typical in Minnesota elections, I don't see a narrative where this helps the GOP electorally. It only takes a relatively small portion of MN independent voters turning sour on the GOP to cost them pretty heavily in State legislative and U.S. House elections.

Also why is the Vice President running HHS?  I understand why the Secretary isn't running it, but why is the VP the backup on that agency?
We have, accordingly, always had plenty of excellent lawyers, though we often had to do without even tolerable administrators, and seen destined to endure the inconvenience of hereafter doing without any constructive statesmen at all.
