:huh:

I thought he withdrew before the Primaries started, because he was afraid he would be 'primaried out' (I like that expression btw)?

He withdrew after New Hampshire (which he had won, though not by a wide margin; which, in turn, prompted Bobby Kennedy to enter the race.)
In Italy, for thirty years under the Borgias, they had warfare, terror, murder and bloodshed, but they produced Michelangelo, Leonardo da Vinci and the Renaissance. In Switzerland, they had brotherly love, they had five hundred years of democracy and peace—and what did that produce? The cuckoo clock

Yeah, but a serious primary battle is a really bad sign for a general reelection campaign.

2016 tends to disagree.

It's a bad sign for an incumbent president.  In our system of government the incumbent almost always wins unless he faces a serious in party primary challenge (Ford, Carter) or a major third party challenger (Taft, Benjamin Harrison, George H. W. Bush).  In every other case since 1888 the incumbent has won, with the sole exception of Herbert Hoover.

Yeah, but there's a chance of mixing up cause and effect here.

@realDonaldTrump

The Intelligence people seem to be extremely passive and naive when it comes to the dangers of Iran. They are wrong! When I became President Iran was making trouble all over the Middle East, and beyond. Since ending the terrible Iran Nuclear Deal, they are MUCH different, but....

....a source of potential danger and conflict. They are testing Rockets (last week) and more, and are coming very close to the edge. There economy is now crashing, which is the only thing holding them back. Be careful of Iran. Perhaps Intelligence should go back to school!

QuoteSarah Sanders: God 'wanted Donald Trump to become president'

[...]

"I think God calls all of us to fill different roles at different times and I think that he wanted Donald Trump to become president, and that's why he's there," Sanders told CBN's David Brody and Jennifer Wishon, according to a transcript of the interview provided by CBN.

Now this is petty: after the news reported that Jared Kushner was given his security clearance over the objection of career staff, the suspected leaker Tricia Newbold is suspended without pay for two weeks.  Whats more Newbold, who has dwarfism, has had all of her secure files moved out of her reach.

WEll sure, but you've been cheerleading the Tea Party and those nutjobs like Cruz. Trump is just the outcome of that. So your fault anyway. Canadian Trumpette!

The Obama birther stuff as a deliberate distraction, Trump is secretly a Canadian comedian* hell bent on wrecking the US.

*Others tried, but Candy, Carrey, Myers, Moranis, Sutherland, Aykroyd all got sidetracked.

Sutherland?

I know there were a lot of them, but could only think of a handful off the top of my head, so padded a bit. Besides he's played many comedy characters and parts.
