And I was incorrect - besides 2004, the last Presidential election the GOP won the popular vote was 1988.  1992 was Clinton.

I think that is the problem.  Short people have a distorted view of the world 

I feel a lot more comfortable in a place like the Netherlands where I can look most people in the eye, than a lot of other places where I just see the tops of heads.

Also, first time I was in portugal as an adult I felt like a giant at 5'10". It was great. Could see over heads for miles. Never felt so short as when I arrived back at the airport in canada
