Hunters have their place. Lots of animals near populated areas have had their natural predators exterminated so hunting within regulations can be useful and I guess fun for the hunters.

But I don't think shooting lions really falls under that category. That is pretty bad.

At least in this case, Martinus, you're mostly correct.  This guy is a complete scumbag.  I'm not sure that I wish for his death, but I will not be unhappy if his practice is a shambles in the coming months and his career ruined.  Killing rare animals like this is sickening.

The guy needs better counsel.

"I enrolled in an extreme dentistry overseas program to fulfill continuing professional education requirements.  I was performing a procedure on this very nice lion when things went horribly awry.  No one told me the nitrous dosage had been switched to metric units . . ."
