Sadly, yes.  The gal in charge of ads said she really wasn't good with uniforms.  So I suppose there was an equal chance of the ad depicting a person dressed as French Maid, A Roman Centurion, Robocop, or the Maytag repairman. 

That does not really surprise me a whole lot.  Several years ago I dressed up as an East German officer for Halloween and the wife dressed as a nun.  As a joke the wife framed a pic of us in costume and I put it on my desk at work.  Some nitwit girl from another department stopped by my desk to ask me something and saw the pic.  She said, "Oh, I didn't know you had been in the army!"
