Like I've said before, my expectations for Episodes I thru III were so low that I was actually sort of impressed with Episodes II & III.  Episode I was exactly as shitty as I expected.

I think I may call myself an anime fan.  I refuse to buy any DVDs, Blu-ray discs, figures, mangas, toys, merchandise, etc.  I may buy a few CDs provided (1) that I really like one of the songs and (2) I can't find it...elsewhere.  I may also go to the concerts of my favourite composers.  I think I have bought a grand total of two movie tickets, two concert tickets, and fewer than 10 anime CDs throughout the years.

Although there were MANY problems with the prequels, the main one in my view was casting.  Anakin is the central character in all three movies and in all three movies was played by a totally inept actor with absolutely no charisma, not helped by terrible direction that made even Natalie Portman seem like a bad actress, which we all know isn't the case when she is well-directed.

I am a nerd/geek/sci fi movie fan I guess. Some sci fi movies I go to premieres, including midnight showings where the cosplay geeks show up.

WOuldn't that tend to show that the problem wasn't castng, but script and direction?

Christensen's career hasn't exactly taken off post-Star Wars, but he's been reasonably well-regarded in the other things he's done.

I do get dressed up in period dress and attend Jane Austen-themed balls (three times now) - though I like to think that since my costume is of a naval captain that I'm attending a Patrick O'Brian-themed ball.  I guess that fits as a sort-of fandom.

Only Liam Neeson and Christopher Lee were able to get through Lucas's dialogue without looking like terrible actors.  I wouldn't put any of the blame on the actors other than not being able to get through the crap that was thrown at them.

Nope, I got nothing.  I don't dress up as anything or buy toys or anything.  I'm really kind of dull.
I've given it serious thought. I must scorn the ways of my family, and seek a Japanese woman to yield me my progeny. He shall live in the lands of the east, and be well tutored in his sacred trust to weave the best traditions of Japan and the Sacred South together, until such time as he (or, indeed his house, which will periodically require infusion of both Southern and Japanese bloodlines of note) can deliver to the South it's independence, either in this world or in space.  -Lettow April of 2011

I occasionally in business or personal transactions require that the other party recognize Stannis as the proper king of Westeros. I have occasionally been forced to back out of otherwise sound situations due to intransigence on this final issue.
It can't be helped...We'll have to use 'that'

My town once had a hockey team, that I deeply and passionately loved. It was taken from me by some podunk town that convinced the owners their enthusiasm for hockey was so great that it would overcome their poverty and sparseness. It turned out that even their biggest superfans just own a few shirts, and many of those were gifts from others. But my team is now gone, and I don't know if I will ever be able to love anything else again.

I'm embarrassed. I've been making the mistake of associating with you. It won't happen again. :)

Stannis is dead.

I've travelled to obscure no name places well out of the way to see a bunch of rocks that was once a sengoku era castle.
I guess that counts.
